Spring Flood 2008
Big Spring, Ky. Area
These are some of the photos taken by R.Tozier,
unless otherwise noted, on Friday April 4, 2008.

One might want to note that no one got robbed, no
stores were looted or burned and no one got killed.
As a matter of fact there was not a single instance
of crime that anyone knows of to date; However,
one of Big Spring's finest citizens, P.Johnson did
use his jon-boat to ferry folks back and forth across
the water in the road to help them get to the store
and back!  This free service soon became known
among locals as,
"The Beer Ferry"!

24 hours later everything was pretty much back to
normal except for the clean up.  No houses took on
any water that we are aware of at this time.

Horseback seemed to be the best way to get around on Friday, April 4th, '08!
